Hacienda on a Hill

Riviera Neighborhood, Santa Barbara

4 bed / 2 bath
Year Built: 1954

Hacienda on a Hill evokes the feeling of a timeless Mediterranean farmhouse, perched high in the Riviera with sweeping ocean views and incredible original bones. From the beginning, the home carried a quiet sense of grandeur, and our vision was to enhance its character while creating a warm and livable retreat.

Throughout the reconstruction, we introduced rich architectural details — beautiful exposed beams, tongue-and-groove millwork, and layered finishes that brought an old-world European charm to the home. Every space was designed to feel both elevated and deeply inviting.

The kitchen became the heart of the home, featuring custom thin-shaker cabinetry paired with striking Arabescato marble, creating a space that felt refined yet effortlessly functional for everyday living. Upstairs, the primary suite was designed as its own private retreat, complete with soaring ceilings and a balcony that captures the stunning coastal views.

The expansive exterior lawn and outdoor spaces added so much to the overall feeling of the property, transforming the home into a peaceful sanctuary — a place that feels both grounded in nature and timeless in design.
